There are 2 types sealers available, a water based sealer and a solvent based sealer which come in a matt or gloss finish.

If you require a colour for either the Brick Imprint or the stamped concrete the process is the same, a special colour powder is applied directly on the newly floated slab and re floated to even out the colour, once driveway has set properly, a sealer is advised to enhance the finish and protect the colour for a long-lasting floor finish.

Brick imprint paving is a cement slab with a pattern imprinted in the cement slab to resemble brick whereas stamped concrete is a cement slab which is stamped to create a desired effect with powder coloring like cobble stone, slate floor or even a wooden look finish.

As with all concrete floors, they are prone to cracking due to harsh weather changes and ground movement, to prevent this as far as possible, Brick Imprint Paving has expansion joints which minimizes the risk of the slab cracking.

Generally, Brick Imprint does not crack, however it can spoil if not given the recommended drying time before driving a heavy on the paving. Brick imprint can also lift due to underground roots from nearby trees as would any paving.

Brick Imprint can be painted in all standard paving colours, most common colours used are red, charcoal, black and green although you can get special colours mixed to suit your requirements.
